Projects_ResidentialLlantrithyd House  Cowbridge

We were approached by a lovely family who have recently relocated to live in Wales.  The house sits in the countryside with green rolling fields surrounded on all sides.  A somewhat badly designed 1980’s dormer bungalow that is in need of updating and modernising to resolve the issues with the existing plan and make a new home for this soulful and loving family.

As like a lot of our clients this family are extremely creative, so it was important to listen carefully to their specific needs and preferences as to design a house that seamlessly fits with their lifestyle but also practical and in budget.

The key features to this home was to create a family hub, living, kitchen and dining area, open plan so that the family can spend quality time together after a long day, sit and watch tv, listen and talk about their day or even sit with a laptop whilst someone is cooking a wholesome meal.  Secondly we needed to create a quiet study for the person that unfortunately needs to bring work home with them.  Thirdly we created a studio for the making of music, a place where everything can be forgotten, a place to lose yourself.
