Projects_Residential /  Stradey House  Carmarthenshire

Having lived in the property for 3 years Rebecca wanted to make her house a home by improving the layout of the bathroom and the kitchen and introducing natural materials like slate and timber to replace vinyl and upvc.  The home needed a heart and the gas fire was replaced by a woodburner that now heats the whole house, provides plenty of hot water and gets rid of the gas bill!

The budget was kept to a minimum by carrying out the work with the help of friends and family and by reusing as many of the fittings already in the house as possible. Rebecca did not want a fitted kitchen and designed and built her own, with the help of Adam and Richard!  The project is still ongoing and the next step will be to build a wood store and introduce solar panels to the south facing back roof to reduce the electricity bill and possibly even generate income.
